Sensidyne has just released a new tube for measuring Methyl Bromide
A new low-range detector tube for methyl bromide has a measuring range of 0.5 to 10 ppm at one pump stroke, and can read as low as 0.1 ppm at three strokes. Methyl bromide is a commonly used fumigant for buildings, soil and certain crops like potatoes and tomatoes. Tube 157SD is ideal for monitoring the residual methyl bromide levels in buildings for re-entry after fumigation for termites. The specifications for tube 157SD are given below:
Tube No.: 157SD
Target Gas: Methyl Bromide
Range: 0.1 to 2 ppm at 3 strokes (Reading x 0.2)
0.5 to 10 ppm at 1 stroke (Direct Read)
1 to 20 ppm at 1/2 stroke (Reading x 2)
Detecting Limit: 0.03 ppm at 3 strokes
Sampling Time: 2.5 minutes per pump stroke
Color Change: White to purple
Shelf Life: One year
