Two new low range detector tubes for monitoring airborne levels of benzene vapor are available from Sensidyne. Benzene tube No. 118SD has a measuring range of 0.1 to 75 ppm, and can monitor in the range of the OSHA PEL in just minutes. Tube 118SE has a range of 0.2 to 15ppm and is selective to benzene in the presence of other aromatic hydrocarbons. The system includes a precision piston pump for optimum repeatability and is expandable with direct reading detector tubes available for about 300 additional substances.
